I’ve been reading over the Ctrl Alt Del comics from the start.

So I bought a laptop, right?
Warning, ITP: I rage and rant about Vista. Micro$oft fanbois look elsewhere.
It’s a HP dv-5 1138tx. It comes with Vista Premium.
Okey, so I had to use vista for a few hours, to make the recovery disks, which took ages to make. And can I say, GODDAMN, holy shit jesus, son of a bitch, motherfucking cunt whore, slut, etc – this is absolutely, positively, the worst operating system I have ever used!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, out-of-the-box sort of thing, almost 1GB of ram was consumed, purely running the thing. ONE FUCKING GIGABYTE, GODDAMN, HOW DOES ANYONE PLAY GAMES ON THIS SHITASS PISSANT CRAP? Or do anything else which requires any serious amount of ram?
And you know how with XP, after a while, the computer really slows down, and you have a ton of stuff installed, and you end up with like a dozen icons in your tray, which you don’t know wtf they do, WELL GUESS WHAT, VISTA COMES ALREADY LIKE THAT, GODDAMN!!!
And you know how after a while of using IE (not that I use IE), you get a ton of toolbars and icons and crap, well…lol…IT ALREADY COMES LIKE THAT, LIKE WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT, WHY DO THEY HAVE TO FUCK EVERYTHING UP GODDAMN.
So anyway, here I got to using Vista, the first thing I had to do was of course install an IRC client. And man…so first it asks me if I wana download the file, then it asks me if I wana run the file, then it asks me if I wana do over 9000 other things, CHRIST, WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING??? HOW CAN ANYONE USE AN OPERATING SYSTEM, WHICH ASKS YOU IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THE THING YOU WANT TO DO EVERY FUCKING GODDAMN SECOND OF YOUR MISERABLE LIFE – MISERABLE BECAUSE YOU ARE USING THE BIGGEST PILE OF SHIT EVE MADE. I mean goddamn, were microsoft, so called, “engineers” on fucking crack when they made this shit? How the fuck do they expect people to put up with this nonsense? More importantly, HOW THE FUCK DO PEOPLE DO IT?
No fucking wonder no business will use Vista, anyone’s productivity will go down by over 9000% with Vista, because half the time, they won’t actually be doing any work, they’ll be waiting for that shitcracking son of a mother to dim the screen, come up with a dialogue, click “continue”, undim the screen, and do what it is you want done. Goddamn!
So after starting up regedit, and destroying all the startup entries and getting rid of this norton crap (people use norton? wtf?), I managed to get the memory usage down to 750MBs.
Then I went to try Aero, but the only thing it seemed to me that it did, was the alt-tab like “3d” screen flicker-through crap. Goddamn, is this microsuck’s idea of fancy desktop effects? I mean, I used to think they reversed engineered compiz or something like that, but now I know they must have never even used it, because if you use aero, and then compiz, you are going to want to take your vista dvd, put it in a trash can, and then take a huge ass shit all over it – because that is where it belongs.
Oh, and one more thing.
VISTA WAS NOT ABLE TO CONNECT TO MY WIRELESS ROUTER, WHEREAS LINUX DID, I SHIT YOU FUCKING NOT – THERE, LINUX HAS BETTER WIRELESS SUPPORT THAN WINDOWS, AND IT WORKED OUT-OF-THE-BOX TOO
That is all (for now).
Getting anxious….
Is EndWar the best military tactics and strategy game ever made or what? I mean shit, I cannot wait for this thing to reach PC, I really really can’t…I can’t wait to begin pwning people online in a whole new way.
Gamer’s Bill of Rights
I just heard about this, and I think it’s the greatest idea ever. This needs to be agreed upon by all developers and distributors to fight DRM crap like Steam.
1. Gamers shall have the right to return games that don’t work with their computers for a full refund.
2. Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state.
3. Gamers shall have the right to expect meaningful updates after a game’s release.
4. Gamers shall have the right to demand that download managers and updaters not force themselves to run or be forced to load in order to play a game.
5. Gamers shall have the right to expect that the minimum requirements for a game will mean that the game will adequately play on that computer.
6. Gamers shall have the right to expect that games won’t install hidden drivers or other potentially harmful software without their express consent.
7. Gamers shall have the right to re-download the latest versions of the games they own at any time.
8. Gamers shall have the right to not be treated as potential criminals by developers or publishers.
9. Gamers shall have the right to demand that a single-player game not force them to be connected to the Internet every time they wish to play.
10. Gamers shall have the right that games which are installed to the hard drive shall not require a CD/DVD to remain in the drive to play.
